Luke Abbott, Caribou, The 2 Bears, The Field, Ben UFO and Simian Mobile Disco for Far Out After Dark!

hello friends!

If like me you love to shake a tail feather until the wee small hours then look no further as Far Out After Dark is back for Green Man 14! The fantasically talented producer Luke Abbott has just been anounced and he's going to be joined by the amazing  Caribou, The 2 Bears, The Field, Ben UFO and Simian Mobile Disco.

Only 49 bones to go.

WOOF!

Just fantastic news. I know I'll always be able to have super fun in Chai Wallahs after the stages have finished, but having specific, brilliant acts in the Far Out too is just brilliant.

I'm already very excited about going from the joy of Beirut to the banging dance of caribou on Friday night. Oh, roll on August!

Ben

7 hours? Back to the tent at 4am, up at 11 just in time to get to the stage and having your breakfast in front of the first band next morning. Easy.

I know Carnie, you think, quite reasonably, that because your kids are going to bed later than usual they'll sleep on later in the morning....very, very foolish!
There is something about sleeping under canvas that causes my kids (10 yr old twins) to wake obscenely early, causing me (with a dry mouth and banging head) to hiss low threats at them....

I'm generally very tolerant and easy going but the large family group that camped behind us last year tested my patience with family sing-alongs and games as soon as their kids awoke last year at 7.00am. Strangely they packed up and moved somewhere else on the Saturday, not because of anything we said, very odd. Anyway back to the topic, I always plan to hit after dark but have failed due to fatigue or beer, maybe this year....

Perhaps you didn't need to say anything smithers ... the evil grin as you sat outside your tent drawing the whetstone across the axe blade may have been enough :-)

Right, Caribou is immediately after Beirut on Friday night with the 2 Bears after Caribou.

Genius scheduling ... we can do this folks! The world of After Dark awaits.

Must...try...harder....
I've missed too many brilliant acts through fatigue and beer in past years - Squarepusher, Jon Hopkins and The Bees, to name a few.
Maybe a mid-afternoon nap is in order.
But then I'd probably miss something amazing with this year's line-up...
