So, last year we had a lovely week's stay in a cottage in Llangattock. We'd booked it again for this year but we've had to cancel for work-related reasons and camp instead.
It's available from the weekend before GM to (I think) the weekend after, but the owner Val can be flexible with letting dates.
It's called Little Shoe Cottage, it's in a lovely spot next to the church in Llangattock, and an easy walk to both Crickhowell (about 10 mins) and the GM site (about 20 mins along the canal towpath.)
It sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms, it's got a little garden and it's very quiet. It's very cosy and well-appointed (dishwasher, washing machine, the usual mod cons.) Cost is around £540 for the week. Nearby you've got the Horseshoe pub and the Old Rectory Hotel, and loads of nice walks from the doorstep. It really is ideal for anyone who enjoys GM but prefers their home comforts!
