Never got to see him. One of those who never got the recognition from the wider public that he deserved but was loved and respected by fellow musicians. Love the line from the Sweet Baboo song about how Daniel Johnston has thousands of great songs and 'I have three' or something along those lines.

Sad times, I never got to see him live. Was it 2016 he was supposed to play at Green Man before having to pull out? I remember being excited when he was announced.

Terribly sad news.

Saw him in 2010 with a wonderful bunch of musicians in the surreal surroundings of the Coop building ballroom in Manchester.

This review is, I think, a little snippy in tone of what I remember to be an amazing but inevitably fairly shambolic evening.

What a line up...
