Best Live Album:  Hamell on Trial - Big Mouth Strikes Again

Best new-old album: Neil Young   -   Hitchhiker

Well one or two of you get a few marks for trying but it's a pretty piss poor effort overall I have to say.

Before anyone else embarasses themselves the correct answer, in no particular order, is ...

Trampolene - Swansea to Hornsey
Sun Kil Moon - Common as Light and Love are Red Valleys of Blood
Pumarosa - The Witch
HMS Morris - Interior Design
Richard Dawson - Peasant
U2 - Songs of Experience
Nadine Shah - Holiday Destination
Loyle Carner  - Yesterday’s Gone
Samantha Crain - You Had me at Goodbye
Toby Hay - The Gathering
Kamasi Washington - Harmony of Difference

U2? Oh you are a one peridot!

The Samantha Crain album was one of my disappoitments of the year. It's not bad but not, in my opinion, a patch on her earlier stuff.

I didn't even get 1 out of 10

and I tried really hard this year

GospelbeacH - Another Summer of Love

Rodney Crowell - Close Ties

Wonderful album, very difficult/emotional to sit through---would love to hear it performed live but unsure if it would get the silence required from the crowd at a festival.

it was gruelling (though wonderful) to see one of the shows of 'crow' material

but phil said that he won't be doing the songs live again
