Line up

Anyone any idea when we will hear anything. The festival is sold out so no reason to trickle it out.

Its not clear but soon probably.  think they will announce the announcement this week with the line up coming next week

one i know for a fact is young fathers

got it from someone who knows

and had a quick chat with hamish hawk on wednesday last

says he's definitely doing festivals this summer - but can't say which yet

given GM's delay, i'd say that makes him a strong contender

Mega Bog Live 2023
Here's another we can add to the line up-

Wed. May 31 - Brooklyn, NY @ Baby’s All Right

Fri. June 2 - Los Angeles, CA @ Lodge Room

Sun. Aug 13 - Glasgow, UK @ The Hug & Pint

Mon. Aug 14 - Manchester, UK @ YES (Basement)

Tue. Aug 15 - Brighton, UK @ The Prince Albert

Wed. Aug 16 - London, UK @ The Lexington

Aug 17-20 - Brecon Beacons, UK @ Green Man Festival

Natalie Merchant has an album due in April. Lead song, 'Come On, Aphrodite' is brill. I can hope can't I?

Vodafone Paredes de Coura - Lineup

^ Paredes de Coura line-up has been announced and we've often shared a couple bands with them.

It's already been stated, but would love to see Little Simz headline. As one of 6 Music's sweethearts she's a perfect fit and would definitely shake up the line-up.

Fingers crossed for Fever Ray considering the dates line up and she's never made it to Glanusk yet. Special Interest would also be wild - their album was one of my highlights of last year.

A total wildcard would be Loyle Carner. If there's ever a UK hip-hop artist to get the GM crowd going, it's one who drops Ottolenghi in his tunes hahaha.

I would like to see Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Walkmen and Wilco added to the Green Man line up from that announcement.

Loyle Carner has played Green Man previously getting the crowd going in Chai Wallahs

wilco are headlining EOTR, so out of contention

BJM would be great

as would loyle carner if he's as good as he was in chai wallahs last time

but little simz...?  no thanks

Seeing Loyle Carner at Chai Wallahs would have been incred! I haven't given their line-ups a chance for years. Clearly become less adventurous in my old age.

Honestly, there's so many brilliant potential headliners floating around: First Aid Kit, boygenius, Little Simz, Iggy Pop, Bonobo, YYYs (dare I say The Smile too?)... I'm struggling to make any solid predictions this year.

It's a chilly day in Sheffield today and it got me dreaming of summer and logging back on here for the first time in over a decade!

Marc Riley mentioned this evening that Warmduscher are playing Green Man.

It's not an exclusive as far as I can see so don't think they can be ruled out, I think it makes them more likely to play actually. believe they will be announced for a Scottish festival next week as well (Connect), which will be the week after GM.

I agree with Mookid here, both Gunnersbury Park and Piece Hall are part of a series of summer shows at each venue rather than one offs. Seems like it would fit perfectly with a Green Man slot on Friday to me.

Excited for the Connect announcement next week too - I popped up for Chemical Brothers right after GM last year and it was a fantastic atmosphere. Really surprised me!

ah, didn't realise that that gunnersbury park thing was part of a series

would they announce a big show - for which they have to sell a shed load of tickets - a week before GM's announcement, though?

still, i suppose that only makes them unlikley for GM's initial announcement - and they could be confirmed later

massive bore-fest, either way

That would be a very strong yes for me.

Fed up with the blandness of the last few years.

I'd be happy with Boygenius as i'm guessing they will have to pad out their set with some of their  solo work and i have loved those last couple of Lucy dacus's long pl;ayers

But will they be headliners?

So Squid, Mega Big and Warmduscher confirmed.  Young Fathers also seemingly confirmed.  Then Boygenius looking pretty likely as a headliner.  Bonobo, Little Simz, Jessie Ware, Jamie XX also fairly likely as headliners.  Other high profile names around: Devo, Fever Ray, Suede, Slowdive, The Walkmen, Osees and Amyl & The Sniffers.  Feel like this year's high profile Welsh name will likely be John Cale given the new album and he's doing some shows this summer.

Lankum from first clue on Twitter.  Clue is coordinates of Bear Creek mountain resort.  Lankum have a song called Bear Creek.  Were very likely to play in any event given they were booked for 2020.  Good start!

Would be a fantastic announcement! Brilliant band.

It was Warmduscher.  The fans of the team that play at that stadium are referred to as Whale City or something which is the title of one of their albums.

What is the point of trying to guess the lineup?  In previous years there has been the opportunity to win various dendritus shed from Ray's body, with nothing offerreed up as a star prize, this has all become a bit of a pointless exercise.

Margo Price playing an Americana festival in Leicestershire week after GM. Wonder if she'll be this year's country offering?

Devo are play in London on the Saturday. I saw them at Primavera Sound a few years back and they were most entertainin. I'd be happy if they popped down to Powys.

yeah - not bad

nothing's that's blowing my mind

but plenty of good stuff

no dance act for saturday night is a surprise - unless that's still to come
