This was my 5th Green Man but I haven't been for a few years - overall it was fantastic, but the one thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the sound quality / mixing across all the stages. So am I mis-remembering things being better in the past or is the really bass-heavy mix now the norm for festivals? Or maybe I need my hearing tested?
An obvious example was Arooj Aftab, but even Arab Strap and Pictish Trail sounded unnecessarily bassy to me. And the Rio 18 bass completely drowned out the orchestra at times in Carwyn Ellis's set.

And seconded from me. Bass often too high, vocals too low. If you back away from the front though the mix is generally better.
