I don't think you'd ever see Akron/Family headlining, but I really hope they play next year. They'd be such a great fit for Far Out, I reckon.

Main stage headliners:

Gorky's Zygotic Mynci performing Barafundle

Bonnie Prince Billy (yeah I know it can't happen)

Sufjan Stevens (ditto)

More of a Walled Garden person myself so:

Natalie Merchant

Simone Felice (has he payed before?)

Erland and the Carnival (Iknow they've played before but I'm changing the rules)

Three I'd like to see again:

Veiver

British Sea Power

Alela Diane

and Euros Childs, Gruff Rhys, King Creosote etc obviously

Simone Felice closed the Walled Garden on my previous visit 4 years ago but I think you could include him as there were so few people there - it was pissing down with rain and most had cleared off to their tents or were watching Joanna Newsome.  He was, unsurprisingly, magnificent though.

Tough call in this frazzled state, but here goes:

Main stage headlining debuts: Beck, PJ Harvey and Belle & Sebastian (I'd take Sufjan Stevens for any one of these, but won't waste my vote as I can't see that happening any time soon)

Far Out: Hookworms, Ty Segall and Goat

Returning acts: Bonnie Prince Billy, Wilco, and King Creosote with Jon Hopkins

Heritage act: OS Mutantes

Band I'd like to see at Green Man if they had a TARDIS: Grateful Dead from the early 70s

Mountain: PJ Harvey, Beck, Jack White (a crazy idea planted in my mind by that First Aid Kit cover on Sunday).

Far Out: Massive Attack, Warpaint, Nadine Shah

Returning acts: Wild Beasts, Money, King Creosote (with his From Scotland With Love set)

Nice thread bph - making us think a bit rather that just posting a list of 'wants' - but it may encourage completely unrealistic expectations :)

I'lll go for:

Main Stage:

The Blue Nile - Green Man exclusive (well they've never officially broken up and we can dream. Paul Buchanan solo would do nicely too but would be Walled Garden)

Neil Young (still dreaming)

Arcade Fire (and still dreaming)

Far Out:

The Pixies

My Bloody Valentine

Stereo MC's

Returnees:

Steve Mason

Villagers

Bonnie Prince Billy (don't we all)

Heritage:

Jimmy Cliff

Joan Armatrading

Suzanne Vega

Mountain - Neil Young, Tom Waits, Boards of Canada..... I can dream....

Far Out - Nick Cave, Lambchop, PJ Harvey...ditto..

Returns - King Creosote, Steve Mason, Damien Jurado

Thursday night Headliner

Eels

Main Stage

Goldfrapp

Beck

Leonard cohen

Far Out

Little Dragon

Jonsi

The Mars Volta

Acts I'd like to see again

Black Mountain

Bat for Lashes

Josh T Pearson

Acts that I'd like to see play for the first time (but not headlining)

Lisa Hannigan

Moddi

Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo

Main stage: Lambchop, Yo La Tengo, Eels

Far Out: Black Angels, White Hills, Okkervil River

far out: Old Crow Medicine Show, Josh T Pearson, Mogwai

Martin Carthy a good shout, maybe with Eliza?

Want to see Field Music in some guise. And Eleanor Friedberger. And White Denim. Wolf People. Tiny Ruins. Erland & the Carnival. Keston Cobblers. Leisure Society.

Can we tempt Jonathan Richman back too?

Not sure who has played before but would love to see Eleanor Friedberger too. The Smoke Fairies. Vancouver Sleep Clinic as I missed them this year. Hot Feet. Little Dragon. King Creasote. The Delines. Laura J Martin and RM Hubbart. Apologies I didn't follow the instructions at the top please don't shout at me. Whoever mentioned Akron/Family I am with you on that, one of the best live sets I have ever seen.

just listening to Bad Debt by Hiss Golden Messenger,  really like to him either on walled garden or Main Stage with a band (William Tyler and co.)

Oh... and Phosphorescent on for at least an hour

Personally, really enjoyed Lord Huron, nice to see them again, otherwise Flaming Lips, Calexico and Sigur Ros

Thursday: Robert Wyatt

Mountain Stage: Beck, Sufjan Stevens, Supergroup (you can name it if you like) David Byrne, Brian Eno, Annie Clarke, Karl Hyde, more suggestions welcome - there,s plenty of room up there

Far Out: Wooden Shjips, Four Tet, Tallest Man On Earth - I know they're all returnees, but I like em.

Returnees: Loney Dear, Flaming Lips, Erland & the Carnival

On reflection, seeing as it's a wish list, Prefab Spout should be there somewhere.

Also, seeing as he's without a record label at the moment, why not give Morrisey a slot on the Rising stage?

Mountain stage: The Decemberists, Modest Mouse, Leonard Cohen (dream big!)

Far out: The Mountain Goats, Okkervil River, Yeasayer

Returning: Tune-Yards, Tallest Man On Earth, The Wave Pictures (I know they technically played this year, but I didn't hear about their secret set until afterwards so I'm not counting it!)
