It was the best GM yet, Walter. Could you try and bring back The Avett Brothers next year? Would love to see them in the Black Mountains having missed Green Man 2011. And Nadine Shah would be great. And while I'm here, The Mountain Goats.

First year in 11 I've not had to put PJ on this list :) (who was everything I could have dreamed of and so much more)
Black Mountain
Beck
Nick Cave
Fleet foxes
Flaming Lips
Thanks Walter :)
Lots to enjoy this time
I'll second Beck and add King Gizzard, David Byrne, Car Seat Headrest and The Cribs to the list

I'll third Beck (he's on my list every year mind, but maybe this will be the year he finally says yes?) and second Nick Cave (again, just for a change). That's the Ryan Adams and PJ Harvey slots sorted! A return for The National would be good, this time as headliners. Sufjan Stevens would be another great headliner option for me. With such a strong rota of female artists every year I'll also say Bjork.
Other wishes, in no particular order include Bonnie Prince Billy, Cat Power, Protomartyr, Plastic Mermaids, Pere Ubu, Devo, Sparks, Thundercat (that now obligatory jazz slot), The Nightingales, and Meilyr Jones (who I imagine must be due new material by then). Os Mutantes would be great, if they are still around in any form, to fill that Atomic Bomb! slot you had a couple of years back (one of my all time Green Man highlights). I'm sure many more will come to me, but I have every faith you'll do a grand job as usual anyway, and will point me in the direction of yet more great musical discoveries.
bonnie will, as ever
bonnie will, as ever
but you'll have to offer him something interesting to entice him to do a festival
let him curate a stage - or ask him to do some one-off collaboration - or run the face-painting glitter van

He will have to do something
He will have to do something interesting before he is worth inviting back. And it is a long time since that happened. Although, if the Mekon's have him long I wont complain.

I'd like nothing more than to be wrong, but between bitchin' baja's, what the brothers sang, and best troubadour and the relatively weak cairo gang output can you really expect him to produce a set that could hold a festival audience in a relatively late main stage slot?
having just seen him do it in
having just seen him do it in london, yes

That was excellent, for the all the BPB shows I have seen, I do not think I have ever seen him alone. I still think that would not hold a festival audiance though. Mekonville is one thing, GM is another. If he had his band, and did similarly, I would be over the moon. Having to miss a gig on 'The Letting Go' tour at the last minuite remains a regret of mine, and seeing a few of those songs live would be great. Still, there was the GM gig, the Edinburgh Harem Scarum gig, and another in Brighton. All classics.
to be fair, i'm conflicted
to be fair, i'm conflicted about him playing GM again
talkers up front at that, and i might be on a murder charge by the end of the night
he's still always great live, though
band or no
and with sweeney and emmett in tow, he can be good and loud
i'm with you that some of the recent releases haven't been his strongest
though i love the bitchin bajas record - and 'wonder show of the world' with the cairo gang remains one of his career high points
other than that, all the so
other than that, all the so-cal long-hairs playing country soul
beachwood sparks; the tyde; gospelbeach again; little wings; mapache; the skiffle players; vetiver; zeb zaitz; pearl charles
basically, pretty much anyone who's played a (((folkyeah!))) event - or huichica - or hipnic

Needless to say, I'm on board
Needless to say, I'm on board with anyone who suggests HGM, surely it's time to do everything to get him next year? Just listened to the two new songs he's put out from his forthcoming album, both are wonderful, both have a message.
And I forgot to include
Kurt Vile / Courtney Barnett (hopefully with Janet Weiss on drums).
