Circuit bending & hacking sound toys…

Sound experimentalist, electroacoustic music composer and dedicated circuit bender Tasos Stamou will lead hands-on activities for music-based circuit bending & hardware hacking. Use second-hand toys and devices as resources to develop innovative musical interfaces and to explore new fields of electronic sound. Learn the necessary techniques to turn hackable toys into useful sound devices and electronic instruments. Bring along your own small devices for hacking

Toy hacking & robot relays…

Playful Brighton artists, Exploring Senses, invite you to construct your own mutant hybrid toy creations. Dig out the old soft toys, action figures and dolls from under your bed and bring them along to be transformed into your very own Frankenstein! Exploring Senses will also be running the ludicrous jousting game Robot Relays, complete with your own homemade cardboard armour.

Festival tech chic…

MzTEK creative technology workshops will bring a sparkle to your step with the ultimate in festival chic! By using conductive thread, lights, and conductive materials, you will learn how to embed a ‘soft circuit’ into fabric, which can then be attached to your favourite t-shirt, bag or even your boot!
